In a thrilling encounter at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, India fell to Bangladesh by one wicket in the third ODI. Chasing a target of 247, India were bowled out for 244 in the final over of the match.

The match turned on its head in the final overs, with Bangladesh needing 20 runs from the last two overs. Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who had earlier taken three wickets with the ball, struck a crucial boundary off Shardul Thakur in the penultimate over to bring the equation down to 12 runs from the final over.

With four wickets in hand, Mehidy continued his heroics, smashing a six and a four off Umran Malik to seal the victory for Bangladesh. The all-rounder finished unbeaten on 38 off 26 deliveries.

For India, Axar Patel and Shreyas Iyer scored half-centuries, but their efforts proved in vain as India failed to defend their total.

The loss is a major setback for India, who had won the first two ODIs of the series. Bangladesh, on the other hand, have now leveled the series 1-2, setting up a thrilling final match in Dhaka on Saturday.
